M6 Large Flange Knurled Rivet Nuts - Steel Zinc Plated Rivet Nuts, also known as Blind Nuts, Rivnuts or Nutserts, are installed into materials such as sheet metal in order to create a deep lightweight load-bearing thread into which a screw or bolt can be fastened. They can be installed from one side, and therefore are useful in situations where there is no back access to the material. During installation, the outside barrel of the Rivet Nut compresses and expands against the base material causing a metal lip to form and locking it in place on both sides. This makes it possible for additional materials to be securely fastened to the base material. These Rivet Nuts are made from Bright Zinc Plated Steel which provides a level of corrosion and oxidation resistance as well as a bright finish.
